Betime Nuhiji wins Advanced Manufacturing
Australia (AMAus)
Academic Achievement Award.
Talented young researcher Betime Nuhiji
has been awarded the Advanced Manufacturing Australia (AMAus)
Academic Achievement Award.
“It really was an unexpected honour but I am definitely
thrilled to have received this recognition for my research,”
Betime said.
“Of course it was a real team effort so there are lots
of people to thank.
“One of those is my wonderful supervisor, Dr Bronwyn
Fox.
“I am grateful for the fantastic support I have received
from VCAMM (Victorian Centre for Advanced Materials Manufacturing)
and from my fellow collaborators at ANSTO (Australian Nuclear
Science and Technology Organisation).
“I would also like to thank AMAus for sponsoring this
award and Deakin University for giving me all the opportunities
it has.”
Betime received her award at a gala evening for manufacturers
and researchers at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne this month.
She was selected for this sought after national prize on the
basis of a written description of her PhD project as well
as her performance in an interview with a panel of professional
engineers.
Betime’s award includes a grant of $5,000 that is to
be used for the purposes of attending a conference (national
or international) that will further enhance her knowledge
within the Advanced Manufacturing field.
