Yes it is unethical but it is not my fault

The fourth of Deakin Research’s annual It Is Not My Fault forums broadcast on the Life Matters program on October 30 can still be heard on the ABC Radio National website.

This year’s forum was called YES IT IS UNETHICAL BUT IT IS NOT MY FAULT!

It featured award winning ABC TV journalist Matt Peacock, author of Killer Company, the story of Hardies and asbestos and Deakin University’s Associate Professor Linda Hancock and Dr Cate Burns.

As well as the Hardie’s story, other issues scrutinised by the panel included gambling and food policy.

This year’s forum was held in a new venue, the Atrium of the new Alfred Deakin Research Institute.

“There is no doubt the real Alfred would have been highly pleased to see this venue being used to discuss policy issues of great importance to the wellbeing of Australia,” said Professor David Lowe, the Director of the Alfred Deakin Research Institute.
